the camp this morning. Uttering lots of Whistles. Presumably disputing among themselves. But L. & J could not determine if the dispute was inter-group or ultra-group.

Start out again 2:55 pm.

Almost immediately, 3:05, come across group of fuscicolles. In region of mixed forest. Lots of tangles. Group seems to include 6 inds. Possibly same group seen by L. yesterday (and L & J today)? Quite dispersed. Several inds. 30+ ft apart. Greet us with usual alarm reactions. Absolutely no Whistles. Soon move off.

3:55 pm. Region of very tall forest with lots of second story trees. Come across large group of Woollies. Approximately 12 inds. Including 2 tiny infants, being carried on rear of mothers' backs, right before bases of tails. Also 2 half-grown independent juvs. All independent inds. moving 50-100 ft up. Quite slowly. Very dispersed. Quite silent at first. Then see us. Utter single low "Yuks". One distant ind. eventually works up into frenzy. Uttering long series of louder, higher, "Yuk"s in fairly rapid succession. Sound quite like AlB series of Ateles.

As far as I can tell, none of the inds. feeds.

Mother with infant gets in tree right above us and defaecates frequently. While uttering "ordinary Yuk"s. Also scratches side with hand. Displacement.

Group definitely alone.

Ending observations 4:45 pm.
