omento is actually 2200 ft (ca. 600-700 m.). This is indicated by my altimeter. And confirmed by F Sr.

ADDITION: I paced off the length of the Pygmy Marmoset woods this afternoon. Almost exactly 170 yards. And the length is certainly greater than the breadth. Very much so in some places.

Going to work uphill, same place as yesterday morning. It poured rain all last night. Still sprinkling a little when I start out 6:00 am. Reach lowest patch of woods 6:20. Then reach lower border titi-tamarin-saki wood 6:30. Rain has stopped now. But forest is still dripping.

Everything very quiet 7:15 a.m.

7:26. Hear triplet Whistle in distance. Could be either tamarin or bird. Then hear several apparently unritualized series of Whistles.

Area here is 2900 ft according to my altimeter now.

Reach palm where torquatus seen (and tamarins heard) yesterday 7:50 am. Apparently nothing here now. But I am going to sit and wait.

Set until 9:05 without seeing or hearing anything significant. There aren't even wary birds moving today. Then walk around, thru all sorts of forest, again without success.

Seen trying to come out 11:50 am.
