[circle] 1 [/circle] I did not distinguish between "real" Trills and Twitters during my description this afternoon. But obviously both types (and intermediates) were uttered frequently. Certainly, the "Trills" called "bubbling" were really Twitters.

[circle] 2 [/circle] The performances called "series of Grunts in Pumping rhythm" this afternoon were more or less the same as the patterns called "Song" on p. 47 et seg, and "RB" and/or "OB" on p. 6 et seg. Obviously highly variable. But I small use the term "BB" for them all for the time being.

[circle] 3 [/circle] The performances indicated as "Trill Grunt" were much the same as, perhaps identical with, patterns called "Rattle" or "Trill" ending in "muffled Grunt" or "muffled Roar" in earlier notes. But the short-hand used today would seem to be preferable.

[circle] 4 [/circle] I did not hear any Moans today. Probably simply because these sounds are too soft to be heard at any distance in a general cacophony.

This may also explain why I did not hear any Squeaks or Whistles.

[circle] 5 [/circle] I think that I did hear "MTW" but failed to distinguish it as such.

[circle] 6 [/circle] I certainly did not identify any real Rattles or Rays. Probably because they really were absent.
