I come back.
COMMENT: Both Fuerbringer and Autuco claim that there are two types of Pygmy Marmosets here. One is very small. This is supposed to be the type in the "hedge" behind the house here. The other type is somewhat larger, darker ("ahumado") on the back and more yellow underneath. This is the type whose territory (and feeding tree) Autuco pointed out to me last year but which I was never able to see.
According to Autuco, both types utter the same sounds. And both make holes in trees in order to get sap.
By contrast, Autuco says that there is only one type of tamarin in the immediate neighborhood. Which is a relief!

He seems to have developed a number of Quirks in captivity. Most frequently, clutching one forearm with hand of the other arm. Usually right clutching left. Also very energetic "fits" of scratching, with both hands and feet.
