wherever the population is dense. Saimiri and Cebus albifrons territories presumably are large.

I don't really know anything definite about over laps of territories among the local primates. Except that Saimiri and albifrons must have overlapping home ranges at least at times. And I should be surprised if Saimiri, albifrons, the tamarin, the Red-tailed Squirrel, and the Pygmy Squirrel did not all overlap.

Start out 6:40am. Cloudy but no rain

7:15am. Region of water logged forest. Near tamarins at great distance. So at least they are up by this time.

7:30am. Some distance further along in waterlogged forest. Come across another group of dull brown tamarins. 9 individuals. Definitely alone. In region of many tall thin trees near clearing. Quite a few thin [[?]] around but none of the great thick tangles favored by suoloch. When fruit seen, inds. were 15-25 ft up. They see us immediately. Begin to utter vocs. Mostly LSN's, series of LSN's, W's, and intermediates. At the same time they run up the nearest trees. Very unlike the Caguita animals. Some Tip-coiling, both extreme and slight, without TR. Also some TR without Tip-coiling. Some SS. Sometimes extreme but variable and apparently unritualized
