One of the local people says that the Callimico usually bound from that tree trunk. Implies vertical hopping.

The group seen here probably was 20-40 ft up. In the dicot. trees rather than the bamboo itself.

12:55. Infant utters very long multi note high pitched Trill. Almost ultrasonic.
Guide hears Cebuella coming from large tree only 10 yards away. I.E territories of Cibuelle and Callimico probably are overlapping. If not, certainly closely adjacent.

Another Trill by captive infant apparently stimulates high pitched Trills or Whistles by adults in distance return.

COMMENT: I know that the preceding notes are both confused and incomplete. I should try to round them off as best I can:

(1) Callimico seems to widely distributed but usually not very abundant, at least in this region. Always in pairs or small family groups - of its own species.
(2) According to Antuco et al, the pairs and family groups of the species are often associated with Saimiri. According to one of the men on this island ("Campo Alegre"?), they are usually associated with fuscicollis. But the inds. we saw today appeared to be alone (altho in close proximity to Cebuella.) I.E the social behavior of the species is complex and/or variable
