(3). Local informants say that Callimico pairs and families live in a great variety of habitats. But we have seen them only in swamp forest or semi-swamp areas, full of young second growth and introduced bamboo.

(4). The fact that both Callimico and Callicebus occur in very wet forest might suggest that such forests is the original habitat of ceboids.

(5) The fact that both Callimico and Callicebus use their vocal signals in the same way (vz Epple-Hösbacher) might (?) also suggest that this sort of use is primitive

Ca 4:30 p.m. We now have the captive infant in Fuerbringer's house in El Pepino. It has been fed and is beginning to relax. It also beginning to realize more frequently. Uttering more and more series of notes which I called Trills earlier today. These may not be homologous with the "real" Trll's of Saguinus spp. Probably long series of about Wstl's. Beginning very high and brief. Gradually getting lower and shorter. Some of these serves obvious are reactions to my presence. Others are done while the animal is alone and "undisturbed."
