Arrive at island ca 7:10am. Overcast but water is low. Rather slow in getting out to field.

According to guide both types of tamarius here eat fruits of Inga spp. and Coussarea ("uva")

He also says that both the Red-tailed Squirrel and the Pygmy Squirrel occur here.

7:55am. Hear long series of Whistles of moderate length. Guide says that they are by fuscicollis. A few minutes later see 3 inds. of the species. (Don't know if this is whole group or not.) Region very mixed forest. Running along branch large tree 30-35 ft up. Silent. Alone. Then each ind., one in one, drops or leaps 20-25 ft down into underlying scrub!!

8:10am. Several hundred yards further on. Region of very young and low (ca. 20 ft) second growth vegetation. Less than 10 yrs old. Come across several fuscicollis. Remarkably low 4-10 ft up. Clinging to them vertical dicot. and palm trunks. See us immediately. Utter LSN's and Trll's. Disappear, hopping vertically from trunk to trunk. At same time we suddenly see single adult Callimico in slightly taller tree 30 ft up. Tree is a composit. (Probably not a feeding tree) Perhaps 20 yds away from
