12 Noon. Go back to young Callimico. Still in same place, still calling WLW's, but even more urgently than before.  No sign of parents around anywhere.  So we decide to try to pick him up.

Antuco approaches cautiously. Young shuts up. Then utters squeak or brief Whistle when Antuco's hand is a few inches away. Then runs a few inches. Then falls straight to ground. Where it crouches absolutely motionless, uttering High Trill after High Trill.  Obviously comme ça:

Obviously homologous with High Trills of Callicebus and Aotus, not Trll's of Saguinus geoffroyi (or either Cluck-Trills or Rattles of same species - see also below).

Then it utters lots of Rasps, apparently Harsh Rasps, when Antuco actually picks it up.

Then we carry it back to town. Utters occasional WLW's in hand. Also occasional Harsh Rasps. Also some ritualized series of a few (4-8?) loud, rather low, Sharp Notes. More or less [[symbols describing the sound pattern]] (I think).

Rather reminiscent of the chuck-Trill's of adults, but individual notes more widely spaced. I shall call this pattern "Rattle" for the time being. It obviously is strictly homologous with the Trill of Saguinus geoffroyi - but not in the
