her eyes one of them it
seems has a ulcer forming
and it was almost closed up
yesterday she was droping some
thing in to it which was of
a black color and it colored
the flesh around the eyes so
it looked very much like a
black eye I guess she will
have a bad time before it is
well shall drop in to night
when I go to mail this letter

Pa has donned his new suit and is now
going down to post his letter and called
on Edith Wayland I suppose she got cold
straining her eye poking into other peoples

Doris
  It is three oclock and
the sun has been shining for the
hour or two good and warm it
has melted a little on top of
snow almost for the first time
for a week. I drove up to Sumner
St then across Ash St  to So
Stoughten got back at dinner
time to day your Ma has
had a nap and I took mine
at same time I bought from
Snell his big cross cut saw
so if the snow goes and I can 
find anybody to help me I can
work up the logs I have a good
