Stoughton Nov 25th 1922

Dear Doris,
This is our first snow storm its a chilly morning we are hovering around the kitchen range trying to get warm. I feel the cold more to sit down before I stir around in the morning, but this morning I have to mend my woolen stockings that I put on in a hurry, yesterday morning moths must have gotten into them for they were pretty bad, but now they are warm and whole so I will be all right. I am going over to Brockton tomorrow if it's not too cold, and see what I can find, everything is clear up to the highest notch these days. I can tell you eggs here are worth 1 dollar per doz the last time I paid, we only get them for Lena when she takes a notion to have one for breakfast- which is not every day. I use the cooking eggs for other things and those are over .40 a doz. I don't know but we shall have a fowl of thanksgiving if we are lucky to find one reasonable Ferrin has supplied us.
