Dear Doris-
This is a very pleasant warm Sunday. I have got my washing out on the line, we have just eaten our midday meal, and Lena is finishing washing the dishes and filling up the bottles, it is quarter to one and we have the rest of the day to ourselves. Pa is now shaving. I have been pretty busy with my jackets all the week and have been no where, nor seen no one, so there is not much to write about. Did you read the continued story in the Examiner it is called "The strength of the Pines," I begun the story so now I look it through to get the drift of it, there is too much cruelty in it to be very interesting. Lena is reading all the time, I dont see how she can stand so much, she cant begin to circulate her blood, or digest her food. Harold Capen and his wife and girl came over in their Ford the other night, the little one is three years old, she seems a bright-little thing and good disposition, looks like the mother very much. both are proud of her and well
