Dear Doris,

I am through my morning work and will write this letter while I have a spare moment before its time to start dinner.

The day begins with a bright sun that will soon melt the light flurry of snow which fell during the evening.

Pa has taken the horse and he and Drake have started for the cemetary on some of the monument business that Drake has got on hand, they have been painting + papering some over to the old place. he wanted me to see it and said he would like to put in electric lights if it didnt cost so very much as the girls were good about staying at home he wanted them to have things like other folks. they are good girls.

I have been over making pies three days of this week the shop is not doing very much as yet, I dont seem to get any yarn so far. My sewing is getting done
