Stoughton Feb 12th" 1922

Dear Doris -

  I will stop work and write my weekly letter before its time to get my dinner.  We were astonished to hear of your being so bad with chicken pox, but you had fever, as you always do with everything, thats what caused such a back ache.   I hope you are well over it now and up about the house again, you are lucky to have Mrs B to see to you at these times she deserves a medal.  I hope there isnt anything else that you will have to pull you down this winter go easy now.

   Mr and Mrs Long ? were out the first of the week after they heard about my manuscript, and she was crazy to see it, but was in an awful hurry, as she had got to get back for company to dinner, so asked Mort to send it right in to her, he is going to set the price at a hundred collars for the three things, the jewelry, Hirams picture (he is going to pain, Pa had the negative) and the manuscript.

  She sent out a truck after that furniture that Mort has had in his back studio all this
