Dear Doris,
Were sorry to hear you were grip[?]. I hope you are out by now, Sue and Myra Tucker were here calling Friday, they were going to see Helen, and Aunt Rebecca, on their way back, Helen had a slight shock and a bad spell with her heart, they gave her whiskey and she seemed better, the doctor said, it was just a matter of a few days with her, I dont think she can stand it much longer, she is very thin, and doesnt look at all natural, without her teeth and glasses. I have been busy with my jackets this week, we have had very sunny days since the new year came in. Which helps to make the time seem pleasant my plants are looking fine, christmas my lobster cactus was in full bloom. Alice Seele called me up Friday night and told me that Mamie Wales had her old trouble with her nerves, in the face back again, she had been out visiting her it seemed.
