Dear Doris,

Well this, this is a cold wintery X mas morning and it is still snowing, we got up about seven o'clock and after Pa came home from down town, we opened up the box, which we both enjoyed. Pa put on a pair of the stockings this morning and they fitted just right he thinks.
My things were all very acceptable, the dress was so pretty and dainty it reminded me of the one May Ansel had on that day i called on her. Those seeds are fine and now I can plant something new in my garden next summer, we can all enjoy if they do well,
Those tulips were the best lots of bulbs that we had ever planted and Pa took pains to plant them well and cover them up with dressing so they will be in good condition next spring. won't our front yard blossom next summer. Gertrude said last summer it was one of the show places in town.
