Dear Doris:
We are having a nice sunny warm day. Lena came out Friday night to make our shade. it looks very neat;I am sending you a sample. I went to Brockton Mon after noon it was cold all the first of the week. our snow storm went out to sea. I hope all of them go the same way. our ground has been bare so far: I am busy sewing today since I got the washing out. We had a boy come around selling "hams" that were home smoked he came from Milton and said "Dad" cured them, he made a sweet pickle of honey and brown sugar, and took out the bone, so they can be sliced right through, say they are [[underline]]great[[/underline]], awful tender and pink good color. It took all my money but it was well invested. Lester Saulsbury came over yesterday to telephone his girl in Sharon. and wanted to know where he could get some Land for a house lot. I told him Pa would sell one down below Elmis and he seemed to like the idea he is working nights down to Johnnie Woods & his girl is working also and saving up her money they want a home.
