Lena went in town Friday and did some shopping but did'nt find all she wanted, so will have to go again. she is not very well and it upset her. Aunt Cora's husband commited suicide. he shot himself. they found him out back of the "sawdust pile" after searching all day. Lena is in difficulties over an irish family who are trying to make trouble over a critisizing she made with one of their children, so the principle and superintendent both think she should apologize, but she does not see fit to do so. She says she will send in her resignation first. I am in hopes it will blow over, such things make her sick you know.

I am busy on jackets from morning till night and shall send in a batch this week. Did you have a good dinner out of roast chicken I think you could roast it without any trouble, wasnt it good of her to let you have the use of her big oven and pan. did you have it stuffed? We gave .65 a lb for ours it was a young hen turkey and tender. Morey went over to Brockton to his nephews. Our wine was sour, every bottle. Pa thinks it was in the grapes, for it never happened so before with us. well I shall have to fix my squash now for dinner. Lena is going back later on Pa has saved her out some of the choice bits of our turkey to eat on the ride home, for her supper a long ride for her, she and Pa are concocting a reply for her to the school Community. The teachers are all on her side and tell her they would feel like going if she does. She says if she does resign she thinks she will go West. You need not mention any thing about it your letter home, so long Ma.
