To day is one of the days we seldom have at this time of the year I have Painted the last of the outside Storm door, and it drying in the sun to be ready for Tuesday afternoon to go on I am getting my old shingles for the fall repairs from across the way all the old roofs are being paper shingled [Lorucy?] [Parents?], and [see?] the [farm?] at [Blakes?] is being shingled [Crame?] has [finished?] his [Loiuoe?], I have just looked out the window and can see the largest wood fire over the Hills in Mews field that I have seen for years met a heavy wind sending it along last night.
The big Car Barn at Canton was burned down thay day the Water was low and no pressure to fight with
