There are lots of young ones down to the Nevins house. as near as we can reckon three families are living there. and they are the noisiest family there is in town. Every night the children of the neighood get out on the standpipe hill to play ball and of all the yelling you ever heard, its enough to stop the town clock. Young Powell, Mabels husband, says if they get their babey to sleep, they will wake her up they are so noisy. I sometimes wish the old standpipe bursts and so wash them down hill in a hurry, Little Alice Norton the little girl who lives in Frank Capins flat down stairs, is a smart little kid, she came over with Mr King the other night to borrow our sickle. it seems that she has been to New York on a visit with her folks. Mr King said she told her folks that she'd be glad to come home so that she could see Mr King and Mrs Holmes, and he thought that there must be a little corner in her heart reserved for us two. he thinks the world of the little girl, its a pity he dont have some to love he is so fond of them. Well I guess you will think this is long drawn out for a letter from Ma this time, Pa finished his before we had our dinners but guess he did not go into details much will so good day from
