pretty wriggly when touched, I was afraid it was a bean worm. There was a lull in pie making, on account of the holiday Thursday & was over there and Tuesday I am going sext time, gives me a rest. I find there is plenty to do at home, although its been so pleasant it is hard work to stay in the house. everything is growing in the flower garden, yesterday I set out any salvias for a border tp the asters. Gertrude has been over two afternoons this week with her work she, like Helen, dont know how to share the time to bring up a little one but I tell her that there is always a way out of such difficulties and she has begun life in the right way. Our little robins come sight out on the lawn and are fed by the old birds. I have been pretty busy driving away cats for the past week I can tell when they are around for the old ones give the warning [[ery?]] and then I run out and drive them away, some time its a dog they see.
