not withstanding the trouble it causes other nations to suffer I hope no more wars start in my day. I have lived to see six & I am heartily sick of the name.

I hope that check I sent this morning reaches you Saturday. tell me if you get it so I wont have to worry.

We dont hear of any grip cases here in town. this winter we have been free from sickness on the whole. old people are fast going, but thats the same as they do every winter. I hope you are well & no one takes any more colds from Sid he is lucky to be by himself away from the rest of you. the vapor rub is a good preventative I use it very frequently. it will ward off a cold if taken in time. its a simple thing to do just stick your finger way up your nostril with some on the fingertip & when you go in the street cars do the same it will prevent you taking it from others.

I will not stop to see what the radio says the weather is to be tomorrow. it said that this was the coldest morning of any this winter & more snow or rain but warmer to night. we had about an inch of snow during the night it is warm this morning & may end in rain still cloudy.
