it by the first of next week if I'm lucky. I have worked on rugs enough. it made my wrist pain me, as it was hard sewing. I could not think what it was at first after I finished my last one. every now & then my wrist would twinge but thats what it was. I like to make them but I guess plain sewing is better. I have got those two dresses to make up for the baby Maud got the cloth some time ago & after I finish the quilt I will start in on them. The old store is let to a man who has opened a boot & shoe store. I went in there one day to buy me a pair of rubbers, he looked nice & cosy. a new stove he had there to heat it with & had run a partition across to shut off the back room. the old stove was hardly safe to run, as it was all to pieces a wond it had not set fire to the building Pa would worry about it now in his condition. 

Friday morning. One of the cold mornings 10 above & still our milk froze solid in the back room. it is sunny & will cloud up & be warmer so the radio says. winter weather & my birthday. 77 years old. pretty well & may live to be 100 but I hope not. Ma
