he lay on the floor in the narrow place next to the sitting room door face down, he had on that old brown coat of mine to keep warm. this after noon he was there also. I asked him if he had been asleep & he said "crazy if you want to know he dont talk now. I think he realizes that his mind is failing him. his appetite is changed a great deal lately also. he wants to eat between meals & not much at the table. you cant do much with him, so I let him go as he has a mind to. he dont care to see any body now. he says he wants them to stay away & let him alone. he was mad after Ralph left Sunday. so different from Pa. he never goes out side now I tried to get him out to the little building a month ago during that very warm pleasant weather. he said no people would see him & laugh at him & make fun of him, so he will never go out again as he used to last summer. he is changed. I dont know what will happen next. but theres no use in worrying, time will tell. I have managed to get along so far & guess I can the rest of the time. I hope you are well & happy & dont fret. it really is much easier as Pa is now, than when he was finding fault & borrowing trouble, so much if it will only last. it is time to listen in to the radio, Pa does not take any interest in the times & news flashes. I get so lonesome I listen in & sometimes he begs me to stop it.
