Dear Doris

This has been a very sunny pleasant day but this has been the bigges [[biggest]] February snow storm. we have had for years. I swept a path for the mailman & just before the milkman came I dug a very narrow one out to the road & felt no bad affects from it.

Pa needs no Doctor he has had a good clearing out these last two or three days, even had to get up before light this morning, I think it was from eating the bran muffins as much as anything. he is hungry most all the time, so I let him eat, whats the odds as long as he takes comfort in it.

I hope he sticks to the muffins but I dont dare say much about eating them to him he is so obstinate I make them every other day. I think Aunt Mollys case seems hopeless she is feeble and he too old to do much if they were in this town they would be helped if they had no property but they have some & they dont come under the head of paupers its too bad & Syd
