I am setting the patchwork to gather for the bedquilt. the going will keep me at home now for some time to come. I bought some haddock to bake of Jack so we have got enough grub for the next three days sure I am scart [[scared]] of the ice & will stay at home as long as it lasts, but the radio says tomorrow it will moderate.

Pa is gone to lie down on the couch in the front room & swears he will not take anything more, he means his Petrolager, so I suppose there will be a fight over that. There was a terrible controversity over his injection, its all uphill work for me these times, but so far, I have carried the day, its comical if one can see it in that light. I hope he sleeps tonight for I am tired & sleepy so as its most time I will quit & go to bed.
