over the Charles river married a doctor did pretty well this time she thought. I asked her about Annie Lu Stickney marrying Clement Lambert & she said she thought she was a darn fool that he was lazy & she was always in love with him before she was ever married, he went for her because she had money. Alice lives there but goes back & forth to Norton where her daughter are. She owns the place as she took care of her father and mother. also she has a good disposition & can get along with people. I told Mer Griffin that I thought she was the type to marry again, she said that it would not be for the sake of living with a darn man, for she hated them & if she did, she should be very particular who she married she was only a mere child when she was married & they grew up together but that he had a much better disposition than she did. she was sorry for the many out bursts that her qruck temper caused. he was good to her always & then she broke down & cried & I told her never to give it a thought, her disposition was made to get along with his even temperament & he understood how to manage. they loved each other & that was enough. well she looked pretty stylish & her girls mean a good deal to her. they are fond of her. she is smart & no mistake but what she can hoe her row.
