Dear Doris
This is a South east storm & is started in for a days job I think. I have started cutting out pieces for patch work. I had as much cloth that Maude gave me on hand that I would try to get rid of it in that way.
We slept pretty good all night & Pa has had a good clearing out this morning his syrup of figs did the job at last but I think it is chiefly from want of more exercise as you cant get him out of the house at all now it is too dark to see the lines.
I got some fish and am going to make a small chowder of what is lift. I dont have meat & we dont miss it either. Pa sawed the last time I brought that piece of lamb home. but we managed to get rid of it. but was glad to see the last of it. & we havent had any thing but this .25 worth of fish since that will last us two days or more over since I cashed Bruces check down to the first national store Pa has been ramping he said
