Dear Doris,

This is a cloudy morning again but the storm is over & we may get the sun later. not very cold so far. another Saturday morning. I have not heard from Lena this week I hope she is not sick. Pa was uneasy all night, so we slept fitfully all night accordingly. tonight I am going into the front room to sleep. I am sewing on one of those dresses you sent me Xmas and expect to finish it this week.

I hope you are getting back some lost sleep for I guess you are in need of it. Mrs Colcord says her little Mabel has been a very easy child to bring up. they take her out with them all hours of the night & go off to Quincy or any place Gregory happens to want to go after he gets home from work, & she makes no fuss. she has a two hours nap in the day time & the put her to bed nights at nine generally.

I never knew but what the chambers to their house were finished off. she says they were never plastered I guess she ment the old part. for in the new side where Horace lived chambers were Myrtie slept
