Dear Doris

Pa has just snatched this away & crumpled it up in his hands & says its a crazy idea my writing on this paper & after losing my pen I am trying to write you a little under difficulties.

We had a slight fall of snow early in the evening turning to rain. The radio says warmer, it is still raining. I am glad you are able to sleep again & hope the baby remains well. She is getting older every year & I hope will be less care I would humor her less & not tell her so many stories it makes it too hard
