Dear Doris

This is a cold windy day. I was down town early & got Sidneys almanac & sent it this afternoon & hope he gets it by the end of the week. I got some syrup of figs also but dont know whither he will be willing to take them to night or not. as he is so contrary he is growing worse in that respect. I also stewed up some prunes. he wont take spinnage just enough to taste & then no more. its too aggrevating for any thing. when one tries to loosen him up to have him so set and act so childish.

I went around by Ralphs & she gave me the goods for the babies dresses. I think the pattern seems old for the child & may not make them up right away.

Pa says that I am not telling you the truth about him. I hope he sleeps tonight he had a good sleep last night. its too bad you are so desturbed with her nights I dont see what makes her so wakeful nights. will the time ever come when she will give you the sleep
