Arthur Dykemans wife was here yesterday, she was on her way to see Lottie Stickney, who has been sick abed all winter. she was going to give her a green house boquet [[bouquet]] which she divided with me, in spite of all I could do. Oranges & a sofa pillow stuffed with catonine tails, it made a nice soft pillow & I thought it a good idea. She is very kind hearted & gives away too much. for her families good. & she says Lottie wont live through the winter she also says that Louie Dykeman is a changed man since he got married & is always dressed up. she does not go there but I guess they have no trouble. as Kate is a good dispositioned person. I have managed to give Pa a bath & changed all his cloth & we have both lived through the trying ordeal & thats about all. it has stopped snowing & the little birds are trying to find their dinner no trace of the snow is left on the ground yet. I am glad to say. Myrtie has just called up to ask after Arthur. her mother she said was inquiring to know if they had heard from us she's so she comes down stairs every day. they have five boarders according to Myrt Alice is sick with the cold & stays in bed.
