Dear Doris,

We are in the midst of the biggest snow storm of the season, it began sometime during the night & every things is covered with it this morning.

I have finished the rug & to day I will write letters. I have already answered Lena's & think of writing to Alice while she is to that same place, no knowing how long she stays.

Pa was in my room shaking me out of a sound sleep this morning long before six, wanting me to get up for everything was froze up in the house, crazy as a coot. I made him put on his clean clothes
