Dear Doris,

This has been a stormy day & the rain & mist have gathered & frozen on the trees & shrubery every where, so its chilly from so much ice around us. the roads are very slippery also, but as I got my groseries [[groceries]] Tuesday theres no need of my going down for any thing right away.

Frank Monk has come down to .12 a quart for his milk from the first of this month. that is enough to pay for it.

I think bran muffins are good for Pa & for me or any body that is constipated the baby ought to eat them also.

Well Pa has had a nervous crazy day of it, he is on the couch now & has been asleep, I put the thermostart to 70° & when the radiators got good & hot he noticed them & about had a coniption fit. he was going to have the water boil over & flood us & so I turned it down to the old notch 65° & let him get his ideas settled, but it took a great while & now he is tired from the effects, but really it was cold as the kitchen fire was low. & I warmed up the house meanwhile, I have made oyster stew for supper two nights a going from 1/2 pint of oysters & it tasted good.
