I am on my last color dark green the rug you see is progressing fast being such a stormy day yesterday I was working all day long Ralph & Maude were here after you went & Maude brought up some oatmeal bread & sponge cake. she is good to us. I was glad you had him carry you down to the junction rather than trust to getting across to take the train on such short time. it hardly pays to trust to luck when going so far. I hope you got home safe & found them all well. now dont worry about our affairs. I have managed so far and guess the rest will be as easy. I think he was excited more while you were home, probably, but he is no worse now than common. except weaker perhaps. he is writing out in the kitchen now very quietly

I may take this letter down to the box later for an airing as I have not been out for three days now he is scart [[scared]] to be alone
