I sent off your two little boxes yesterday morning the [[they]] should get there the last of the week with out any trouble. my plants are looking fine in spite of so much cloudy weather they are the only thing I can enjoy with any comfort.

Maude says come down to the house & I will give you some pieces I have got another bed quilt most set together. Pa hates to have me sew but I could not stand it to do nothing as you very well know. I expect a letter from Lena to day.

Since our heavier wire was put in the [[strikethrough]] telephone [[/strikethrough]] electric doesn't register, so they sent a man over to examine it but he could not find any thing wrong about it & they are going to try it another month. so it is just enough to set Pa on needles & pins scart [[scared]] to pieces at everything that stirs ready to go off the handle at the least thing that sterres [[stirs]]. hope your work dont keep you worrying & will be glad when it settles down & you know what you are at it must be a suspense all around.
Ma
