Stoughton Dec 4th 1931

Dear Doris

It is pretty pink in the east a sure sign of a rainy day. we both had a restful nigh [[night]] after a quiet day. but one never knows when the storm is going to rage again.

I have written a letter to aunt Molly, & it will go this morning with the one I am writing now.

I must go down this morning after some Petralargent / (mineral oil) they were going to send for some as they had got out of it. I finished up the little dresses & also your chemeses [[chemises]] & now I have only those nighties of Sidneys to make up. 

It seems good to get up in the morning & find the house warm. I shall have to order more oil tomorrow this has lasted longer than the first one, to be sure we have had no occasion to use it those warm days. its most a month now since they filled up the tank. 

I expect the little one is tormenting the little tabby cat. you know "lanky tom" was brought up with you. how you used to dress him up in dolls clothes & put him in the dolls carriage & draw him out. he took it as a
