Dear Doris

This is pleasant day, but a few degrees below freezing. I have got my chicken cooking in the oven, my vegetables cooking on the stove, & my floor clean & my rugs airing & Pa running in to ask me questions & add something for me to tell, so if there is any mistakes made do not wonder at it. it will be soon impossible to write a letter down stairs & I may have to write my letters in the post office. I cut out one of the little dresses & partly made it yesterday. & went down in the afternoon & picked out a chicken much against Pa's wishes but I guess he will eat it even so.
