Stoughton Nov 21st 1931

Dear Doris

It is still stormy we have had a week of dull weather it begun Sunday & its been so the whole week not a great lot of rain, but just enough to make everything wet, it is warmer this morning & we have no heat on except in the kitchen. I called up the Colcords & she said the girl was better but fussy the rash had disappeared & they thought it a little upset of the stomac. he said Sunday it might be worms I guess she eats sweets but dont know as she does. Talbot nor Jim have been around this week. I have got the patch work done & my quilt is ready to tie, it will have to be knotted in the front chamber, there wont be any other place & it wont take long to do it, as there is not any necesity to do it very close to gather. then next week I can begin on the dresses I have not even opened up the bundle.
Pa's bowels are doing pretty well since I have given him the Petrolarger. he woke up last night & I had to go into the other bed to get any sleep it is funny what causes him to be so restless nights when he wakes. he is so persistant & worse than Horace (his tongue) I meant to have gone in to see Sue but was in a hurry to get home yesterday.
