Dear Doris 

A cloudy raw day. I am sewing patchwork for a quilt I washed last week & the pieces Molly gave me I have cut up into squares & am sewing them. 

I have not opened your package yet, as they would make him worry to see them displayed. but may cut thim [[them]] out later on as you are in no great hurry for them you say.

The persimmons came with the letter to day they looked well packed & tempting glad you found the lucky dollar with them can Mrs. C eat them 

Lena sent us some stuffed dates
