April 25, 1939

Mr. Vincent Bendix,
President, Bendix Aviation Corporation,
30 Rockefeller Plaza,
New York City.

Dear Mr. Bendix:

The officers and trustees of National Air Races of Cleveland would like to ask you to serve again as a director of the corporation.

The National Air Races will be held at the Cleveland Airport the three days ending Labor Day - September 2, 3 and 4, 1939. We are looking forward to a splendid racing program and we anticipate that there will be a number of other interesting features.

As you know, the board of directors consists of a representative group of Cleveland business men and men connected with aviation industries in other cities. The board has no regular meetings and attendance at the few special meetings that are held is not requisite.

The officers and trustees sincerely hope that you will accept and I would appreciate hearing from you promptly.
For the list of directors which appears in the official air race program, we need your correct business connection, and a postal card of acceptance is enclosed for your convenience.

Sincerely yours,
L. W. Greve
PRESIDENT
