but it rains too hard for him Mr. Welch left a nice book for me to send to [?] and Doris Shall start it with the letter, so you will have to acknowledge it
Pa
Your Pa is anxious for me to finish out this letter, I have been sewing all day long, it is a stormy day, and Mrs. Griffin has volunteered her help on the dress, so today in order to get it done as soon as possible, so you can have it to wear, we have sewed on the stuff, and now it seems good to let up for a spell. I can easily finish it tomorrow and send it right along. Pa is not going down to night with the letter so I am writing this to let you know I am still on deck. Mrs. Charley [?] body was sent up to Mysas for buryal yesterday, the funeral is going to be in the church tomorrow.
Pa is getting supper, it is after five o'clock we are going to have a few beans and brown bread a cake and apple pie then. I will take Sparkie for a little airing in spite of rain he has grown fat in spite of anything for I am too busy to go to any great extent excepting back and forth to the barn. it seemed good Friday noon to have the kitchen stove and warm up the kitchen
