half past 2 Sunday afternoon

I have just come from a hunt for [[?]] [[?]] I found enough for [[?]] two wreaths for the front room ther is just snow enough on the ground to make it look white and not good travelling in the woods; was over by the [[Float?]] [[Meadows?]] had hard work to shake a woman and two boys who seemed determined to follow me to see what I could find as they had their big bags for greens. just now 4 men have gone by the house each with a Ceder Tree and [[? Mosmen]] has brought a big one home; well Wednesday it was 9 above Thursday 13 below Friday 6 below Saturday 4 above today a cold cloudy gray sky but a little warmer.
