We have had no letter from Leena since she went back but guess she is all right, she certainly wont be coming out this weather. Pa brought home some more of those sausages, I shall have them for dinner tomorrow, they are good, wish you could try them. I have made two cream pies and some drop cakes, those, with my brown bread and beans, constitute the bill of fare for tomorrow. I do hope this devilish wind will go down, it drives one mad to hear it. Katie Steele has stolen a march on folks in town, we are wondering now who she married. I hope he isn't Irish, we shall have to ask Edith Wayland she will know all about it I suppose. Pa thinks Ella Hoopers husband must be a Jew. I have just interviewed Edith and she says Ellas husband is straight american and her folks raised no end of a row, but she thinks it will end in her being protestant, he fell in love with her in the office where she works (and he also) and that he has a college education. now she is going to interview Mrs Bullock about Katie and call me up and let me knows (obliging.)
