Dear Doris.

While waiting for my pies to bake I was thinking of you and your terrible hot time down there and was wishing you might be transported, so to enjoy our cool days we seem to be having after our week of hot sultry days. an awful black cloud went both sides of us last night and never touched here, but both in Dedham and Attleborough it was something dreadful they say. We are enjoying a cool N W wind to day, but no rain so far everything is dry. I am looking for Lena any time to day. her suit case came yesterday she is beginning to get home some of her baggage, as she does'nt intend to teach up there another year. a post card came from Daisy here to her this week, announcing
