Sunday noon Dec 1st

Dear Doris

Your letter came yesterday just as we were about to eat our supper a very opportuned moment we were all rejoyced to find you had at last a place of refuge away from that dreadful influence. Lena has been here with a bad cold since the holiday but is much better now. After a light flurry of snow today it is clear and bright. I am doing jackets every moment I can get now, dont expict they will last much longer. [[?]] has just gone away from here she came in from church as we were eating dinner and so she drew up and had some chowder with us. She is looking poorly has lost 13-pounds she says. She was on a constant strain from the time she started poor thing, her description is killing the way Horace acted and I guess she is thankful to the home again with him.

They are going to discontinue running the Bandolph cars after this last week cannot make it pay
