Dear Doris.
This has been a nice pleasant day, Lena is sitting out in her favorite corner on the glass door steps sunning herself out of reach of the cold north west wind. I have put in a busy morning and am now waiting for dinner to get done. Pa is scratching around carrying away brush and trimming up the branches, after he has cut down the last of his big chestnuts now he has got the land ready for planting. About three grape vines would be to start on and Pa is going to see if he can find some roots of the Hartford and Concord left, over to the old place, he wants a two years old Concord it would do better than a run out vine we think. I cant wait to see something growing on our new land. Thursday night and Friday nights I was alone Pa went to Mason meeting
