Dear Folks

This is a lovely cool day clear over head + the wind to the west ward. Careta called up last night to tell us that Judge Mardens widow had passed away. Pneumonia she was not sick but a few days she attended the last meeting of the Chieataubeet club Friday but was suffering with a head cold sneezing + coughing. perhaps she was a bit imprudent but no one goes till their time comes. a lovely lady by her going Barbera + Bareta will come into a fortune, an old place in Boston another here + a shore place down in Maine. besides money at interest in the bank, plenty to carry them along through life, quite a fortune people say. I think enough to reconcile most any body. Mrs Barry + I think. she has gone to the movies this afternoon + tomorrow they have invited her to go to the funeral. they also invited her to contribute money towards helping the twilight club towards getting flowers, for the funeral to which Mrs Barry was not a member, but she says it would seem small not to do so. she does not feel like doing it, as she was even not much acquainted with her. + money comes slow these days. so much for her being popular with the crowd. Most had a lot of floral pieces. the room was full. they were lovely. a man played the violin it sounded horrid. I have yet to find out who he was perhaps Maude
