I did not get down to see the picture he painted of me he was so miserable all winter so I would not bother as he would had to have heated up the studio & I felt it was so much extra work & did not bother him. then when it came warm he had this stroke & then it was too late. Well it seems good to see the sun & have it warmer. we are having here a cool summer with a few hot days the prevailing winds are North. I guess your weather since Sunday is cooler. I was glad to get the rain as we have been suffering for some moisture. everything is looking thrifty & roses are in bloom, the ramblers are just coming along. a sweater this morning is not out of place but the radio says a little warmer for today. I have just finished the little dresses. now I will have to hunt up something else to be busy over. I received a letter from Alice yesterday. I guess they have a little more hopes of old man Turney passing away isn't it funny how long he lingers. well they will be glad to get away soon as he dies. hope you are having it cooler & all are well.
