I see Charley he looks so natural I wonder what he thinks of Alice doings. at any rate she is acting out her lymphatic disposition to the full but I suppose that is much better than living on her children. Maude thinks she can see some color coming back in that eye poor thing hope the other one doesn't go back on her. Ewing advised her to have it our for fear of its contamining the other.  Mort is poorly & is not able to do any painting. he dosent get out. I would like to see the pictures of me that he did. but am afraid to go on account of his not being able. the Harringtons are only waiting to take me down. they have decided to sell the place I think as soon as they get a good customer. she has got her way they are selling off the hens. I saw from the last time. the atmosphere between them was not so strained. I will hate to have them go as they have been so good to us. but they say they will always keep in touch with us. they never forget their friends.
